Annalong
(from Irish: Áth na Long, meaning "ford of the ships")
At the height of the Industrial Revolution, schooners sailed daily from Annalong Harbour, laden down with Mourne Granite bound for Belfast and other fast-developing Northern cities. It was in Annalong that photographer and filmmaker Christopher Heaney, whose grandfather was one of the famous Mourne stonemasons, grew up. So, when searching for a name for his new company, Chris thought of his pride in his background, and the marriage of craft and enterprise it signified. North Harbour Productions was born.
A multi-award-winning photographer in demand throughout Ireland, the UK and further afield, Chris was already well known for both his highly successful commercial work and gallery exhibitions. Now he has combined his love of still photography with moving image, forming North Harbour with a team of outstanding professionals in their fields.
