CDE Global
Over the last 25 years, CDE Global have designed, manufactured and commissioned more wet processing plants than any other company in the world. Their global GHQ in Cookstown, Northern Ireland, is the world’s largest campus dedicated to the wet processing of materials in the sand and aggregates, mining, C&D waste recycling, industrial sands and environmental sectors. Every plant is designed, built and assembled in NI before being shipped to wherever in the world it’s needed. There it’s assembled and tested by CDE staff.
The ask: To convey the scale of CDE Global’s operations and what makes them a world leader – an ethos that involves going the extra mile, offering bespoke solutions and ensuring attention to detail at every stage.
Our response: We became part of CDE’s world, learning the secrets of wet processing. Using still photography and film, including from the air, we documented their global HQ, manufacturing base and their customer’s sites. We produced technical videos showing the capacity of the plant, as well as testimonial videos in which we interviewed key staff and customers. Then we went travelling!
The challenges: To reduce costs and confront challenging environments on our travels we used an experienced, two-person team whose skill sets included the roles of director, camera operator, still photographer, sound recordist and drone pilot.
We arranged filming permits, aerial /drone permissions, ATA carnets for the equipment and much more. Working conditions were harsh – fiercely hot and very cold, mud and desert! To gain the required technical understanding our team would explored plants with CDE technical teams, relying relevant information back to editors. Due to staff being located all over the world we provided remote client sessions where we worked with CDE staff in real time. Allowing edits to discussed and refined via our secure client preview site.
The result: Our images and videos are used by CDE Global in many different outputs, including online testimonial videos, social media cut-downs, trade shows, demonstrations of past projects for prospective clients, internal training and review and advertisements in trade publications.
